Hi Audrey,

“Disabilty” is most definitely a good example of a social construct. Often, society develops an idea that people living with disabilities are less capable than they really are. They’re unfairly “socially constructed” as incapable and even less intelligent than they really are, which acts as a barrier that prevents them from fully exercising agency and participating in social life.

I’ve experienced that even our perception of time is a concept. Naming and knowing is a big hit these days! Lol!
